Solomon Foundation coming this sunday!


Sunday was awesome!  We had a going away breakfast for the Whites (we will all miss them, even though they don’t actually leave for a few more weeks), the youth led worship, and I was excited to get back up in the pulpit as we dove into Luke 8.  Yesterday’s sermon ended with a challenge for us as a church and for you to get involved with us corporately.  There was also that personal challenge for you to be casting that seed (the Gospel) into the lives of those around you.  In the bulletin there was a spot for specific names, and I challenge each of you to write in a specific person.  When we think of each type of soil (path, rocky, thorns, good), God brings to each of our mind a face that fits that soil.  I want to encourage and challenge you to pray for that person and to pray hard that God would work on them and prepare them to receive His word so they may grow and produce fruit.  Remember, only God has the power to break through every barrier.  We have the opportunity to join him in that work as He uses us to cast seed individually and corporately. 

I hope you are as excited for this coming Sunday as I am.  Russell Johnson from The Solomon Foundation will be here.  He is going to be bringing a powerful message to our church.  This is something you do NOT want to miss!  Invite your friends, family, coworkers… everyone!  This is going to be a great morning of worship and preaching as we cast seed far and wide with the expectation that Jesus is going to do something. 

Ephesians 3:20 – “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,”

We are asking for Jesus to be glorified.  To use us as a local church to reach those around us.  To use us individually to reach those we come into contact with on a regular basis.  To give us the strength, courage, and understanding to share the Gospel when He presents the opportunity.  We pray with the expectation that God is going to answer, and as Eph 3:20 says, “more than we can imagine.”  God is at work, we are willing, and He will be glorified!
